July 31 - August 4
All you need is a lot of cheese-thusiasm to attend the annual conference of the American Cheese Society. This year, the conference is being held in Richmond, Virginia, which is one of the hottest cities in the nation these days. Seminars, tastings, and cheese camaraderie round out the days while the evenings are filled with cheese fun and great food. Best is the Festival of Cheese, where more than 2,000 cheeses are out for tasting. Yes - you read that right. 2,000 cheeses. The Festival is open to the public, so if the conference doesn't interest you but tasting a whole lot of cheese does, then get your tickets now!
September 25 - 29, 2019
More cheesiness at 7,000 feet awaits! This will be my 16th year as a speaker at this much beloved event and this year, my wine partner, Tim Gaiser, and I will be digging into the world's gooiest, creamiest cheeses and the wines that love them. But that's not all. This event has the food and wine world's very best Grand Tasting in which New Mexico chefs strut their best stuff and wineries from all over the world pour their best stuff. I call it tasting with a view as the opera grounds setting overlooks Santa Fe and its surrounding mountains. Lots of wine seminars and food demonstrations round out the week to make one heck of a memorable event from start to finish.
