california artisan cheese festival
The 18th annual California Artisan Cheese Festival is coming, and you should make plans to come too. Farm tours, the popular cheese crawl, and the beloved marketplace are all back. So too is my cheese and wine pairing seminar. This year, I'm partnering with the incredible Balletto Vineyards in scenic Sonoma County to pair five of their wonderful wines with five equally wonderful California cheeses. If that isn't enough, Balletto Vineyards will be offering a Wine Club for a Day special of 20% off of all wines purchased that day. You won't want to miss this special cheesy weekend!
charleston wine & food
Watch out Charleston. Wisconsin Cheese is coming to town, and so am I. Wine star Belinda Chang and I will be literally carting Wisconsin cheese around the historic city in a cheese cart built specially for this venerable event. We will be popping up at lunches and dinners around town as well as in the heart of the Culinary Village together with Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin. The Art of Cheese has never been more fully realized in this heartland-meets-Low Country celebration. Say cheese indeed!

The art of cheese festival
September 29 - October 1, 2023
Join me as I sing the praises of Wisconsin cheese paired with great wine in this first-of-a-kind festival in Wisconsin. That's not all. I get to do this with rock star somm Belinda Chang, and trust me - if you've never seen Belinda in action, you'll wonder why you waited to long. She is AMAZING. We'll be leading TWO interactive tasting seminars, extolling the praises of Wisconsin cheese, wines specially selected to go with the cheeses, and talking about why cheese and wine are so darn good together. The entire festival is pretty darn cheesy (in a great way) with a variety of activities, seminars, dinners, brunches all in the name of cheese. Cheese lovers near and far: this is your festival.

Santa Fe Wine & Chile Fiesta
September 27 - October 1, 2023
Spain's Great Match: Ribera del Duero and Rueda and Cheese Take Center Stage
Join Master Sommelier Tim Gaiser and me as we highlight the best of the best when it comes to Spanish wine and cheese. Known for Tempranillo and Verdejo respectively, Ribera del Duero and Rueda unquestionably qualify as "the best." Spanish cheeses? Well, those go without saying. This event itself is also the best of the best - beloved by repeat and new visitors alike for decades. I mean, Santa Fe in the fall is worth a trip alone, but when you have local and visiting chefs cooking their hearts out and sharing the results, somm superstars leading casual but oh-so-educational seminars, its namesake chile (nothing is better than New Mexico chile - red, green, or both), wine (of course), beer, and SO much more, why put this festival off? This is the year to make it happen.

Food & Wine Classic in Aspen
June 15 - 18, 2023
I'll be happily cheesing it up once again at this premier event in beautiful Aspen, Colorado. This year - the 40th anniversary! - brings a new twist as I will be joined by beer phenom Anne Becerra to do a cheese and beer pairing - my first! Some of the most beloved chefs, somms, and food personalities will be on hand for this very special anniversary celebration, so although it's sold out, it's still worth going to Aspen to join in the countless public festivities that go on over the weekend. It's a weekend you won't soon forget.

HEALDSBURG WINE & FOOD EXPERIENCE
Join me as I get cheesy once again at the second annual Healdsburg Wine & Food Experience. I'll be joining forces with Foley Family Wines to scoop up truffle-y mac & cheese at the Grand Tasting. Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Company's Toma Truffle will be in the starring role along with Marin French Cheese Company's Triple-Creme Brie. And for added deliciousness (and the ultimate red wine friend), mushrooms. Care to do a little mac & cheese and wine pairing anyone? Sunday will bring more mac & cheesiness at the Zinfandel Wine Live Experience, where zin will be in the spotlight and so too my porcini mushroom mac & cheese, thanks to Queen Bee Porcini cheese by Beehive Cheese Co. The weekend is full of incredible food and wine experiences and after just one year, has become the can't miss event of the year. Get your tickets now!
Vineyard to Vintner at Silverado Vineyards
April 28 - 30, 2023
Join me at this celebration of Napa's heralded Stag's Leap District along with cheese and the wines from Silverado Vineyards. I will be "pairing up" (ahem) with winemaker Alison Rodriguez to do a focused cheese and Silverado Wine pairing (I'm telling you, the wines are STELLAR), along with a little mac & cheese and wine pairing too. All this will be on the beautiful terrace at Silverado Vineyards with its unparalleled vineyard view. It truly doesn't get better than this.

Santa Fe Wine & Chile Fiesta
September 22 - 26, 2021
One of the country's best food and wine events is back! Anyone who's been to the Santa Fe Wine & Chile Fiesta knows just how special it is - festive, intimate, unparalleled food, wine and, of course, margaritas. Also a feeling of camaraderie like few other such events. I will be back to lead a cheese and wine seminar and host a cheese table for what has become the Fiesta's new favorite event - Rosé All Day. The class will feature some of the world's best aged cheese (kind of like the Fiesta - aged perfectly!). I will be joined by Master Sommelier Thomas Price, whose pairing prowess is exceptional. Great cheese? Great wine? Great cheese and wine together? What's not to love?

Cheese o'clock
Hard to believe, but Cheese O’Clock will be celebrating its first-year anniversary in May. For my co-host Janet Fletcher and me that means cause for celebration. Or actually a double celebration since it all takes place during American Cheese Month – a time to say cheers to the cheeses and cheesemakers in our own backyard. For this go ‘round, we will be singing the praises of 16 American cheeses along with nine American wines (why nine? See the list below). We hope you’ll take this very special rock around the clock with us as we say cheers to American cheese!

Calling all cheese and wine lovers! JUSTIN Vineyards and Winery founder, Justin Baldwin, and I are joining forces to bring a very special cheese and wine tasting home to you. You too can join in the fun by ordering the cheese and wine kit and maybe inviting a couple of close friends to sip and pair alongside. The Resort at paws up
April 1 - 4, 2021
Sandwich Sensations, Cheese and Wine, and Other Cheesiness!
Who of us isn't itching to get away? I sure am, and I can't think of a better place to do that than in the beauty of the Montana wilderness. Please join me for a decidedly cheesy weekend at the beautiful Resort at Paws Up, located about 45 minutes east of Missoula. There, I'll be demonstrating (and you'll be eating) my very best grilled cheese sandwiches, leading a cheese and wine tasting session, and other cheese events still TBD. Yes, this will all be in the context of distancing, but luckily with the hundreds of thousands of acres that comprise PAWS UP, that won't be too difficult. Best of all, you can work off all that cheesiness by hiking, riding horses, or even trying your hand at a cattle drive. This will be my first time visiting this heralded resort, so how about joining me in perhaps your first visit there too? We can all explore together.

California ARtisan Cheese Festival, Virtual!
Grand Tasting Kit and Virtual Cheese Festival
March 26, 2021
For anyone who's been to the Festival Marketplace, you know it's an unparalleled spot for cheese lovers. Well, since we knew you probably couldn't come to the Marketplace this year, we're bringing it you. 10(!) cheeses along with crackers, chocolate, and preserves will arrive in time to join in this one-hour in-home Marketplace. Luminaries from the cheese and wine world will bring you education and entertainment while you taste your bounty, perhaps with a couple of friends or family nearby. But that's not all. Gloria Ferrer winery is the Festival's exclusive wine partner. They dug into their cellars to create a three-wine selection of some of their very best wines - ones you'd never get at quite this price.
* For a small donation to the California Artisan Cheese Guild, you can still sign up for the Grand Tasting. Grab a couple of California cheeses, open a bottle of wine, preferably Gloria Ferrer, and Zoom in to hear from cheesemakers and from a magnificent wine educator at Gloria Ferrer wines. Hope to see you there.
